Painting Like a Cake Decorator

This weekend, we learned to paint with acrylic. Instead of a brush, we used a palette knife to apply the acrylic colors to the canvas or drawing paper. Since palette knives come in different shapes and sizes, choosing the right one is another topic to explore. This time, we skipped the sketching step and started directly with the paint.
Controlling the amount of paint and mastering the palette knife technique was challenging, but this is the first painting I managed to complete during class! I loved the process of applying colors with the palette knife—it felt like decorating a cake with frosting. The entire experience was both fun and therapeutic.
Note to Self: Improve the brightness of the object in the next painting. Keep practicing! 💪
